Matching
You and your intended parents pick each other.
Finding a good fit.
All surrogates and intended parents working with Surrogacy Journey Consulting have detailed profiles. We review these profiles carefully and propose matches based your vision for your journey. We want you and your intended parents to have similar expectations for the best experience.
We’re matched! Now what?
If everyone agrees to move forward, then you are officially matched! The next step will be for the intended parents’ clinic to compete their eligibility review. This typically involves phone screening and then travel to the clinic for final medical and psychological screenings and approval. Intended parents will pay your travel expenses.
How does the profile review process work?
Intended parents only review one surrogate’s profile at a time and surrogates only review one intended parent profile at a time. If you both like each other’s profile and want to proceed, we will coordinate a videochat for everyone to “meet” and see how the match feels.
Preparing the contract.
After the clinic approves your match, preparation of the surrogacy contract begins. The intended parents’ lawyer will prepare the initial draft. Surrogacy Journey Consulting will help you find a local lawyer. Your lawyer will review the contract with you and negotiate any changes you would like. The intended parents will pay your lawyer’s fees.
